Catholic school has made a difference in my life. I pray more now and I get the privilege to come to church almost every day. I am going to tell you a story. Two years ago I found out that I had a hole in my heart. At the time I didn’t know how bad it was. The first time I went up to Kansas City for surgery the doctors tried to plug the hole with a device but that didn’t work. Apparently the hole was too big, so I had to get open heart surgery. So two months after that I went up to Kansas City again for surgery. Father Gorges gave my parents a cross that had a piece of Jesus’ cross in it. I believe when I was in surgery God was with me keeping me alive making sure the doctors didn’t mess up. After all I feel fine no more heart problems at least I hope so. Catholic school gives me a lot more privileges than a public school would. I love Catholic schools and I’m sorry to say this is my last year at Holy Name and I am going to miss a lot of people.
