Reminder there is no school Monday January 14th!
Walk in Sister’s Shoes (WISS)-
This week we started Walk in Sister’s shoes, I will be teaching the children about Sister Katherine Drexel. She was a great steward of her faith and a great example to our children for being Disciples of Jesus. If they ask you to bring money to school, it is for our shoebox collection that we do every year. This money goes to help Drexel schools; we are one of those recipients! I think it is great if students pull money from their own piggy banks instead of just asking you for money, which is fine too just more meaningful if it comes from their own money that they have earned. I know personally my children will have special things at home that they do to earn money to put in the shoebox. Feel free to ask family if they would like to donate, we will take coins, cash and a check donation (made out to Holy Name Catholic School). If you have, any questions do not hesitate to ask.
Heads Up:
Our Valentines party is on February 14th in the morning. We have the party taken care of. I will send out a list with more information later.
