Valentine's Day

We will be making our own Valentine’s Day Bags to hold the cards.

Please be sure that the Valentine’s cards are only signed – From your child and not to each classmate.

This will speed up the process of handing out the cards at the end of the day and leave more time for the “fun and games.”

There are 14 students in our class: 6 boys and 8 girls.

1st Communion Meeting

The 1st Communion parent meeting is on January 23 in the Parish Hall at 6 pm. Please be sure to mark your calendar for this meeting. One parent is required to attend (students do not need come).  Childcare will be available for those who need it. If you are unable to attend, call the parish office to let Fr. Ken know and to make arrangements to meet with him on a later date.

Walk in Sister's Shoes

This year Walk in Sister’s Shoes will be conducted from January 6, the Solemnity of the Epiphany, to March 3, the feast of St. Katharine Drexel. This fundraiser benefits the St. Katharine Drexel fund, of which our school is a recipient. We will be collecting money in our classrooms.

 Let's Give Thanks!

I am thankful for being Catholic and living my faith.

I am thankful for my family.

I am thankful for teaching at Holy Name Catholic School.

I am thankful for my students who are welcoming and enthusiastic about learning.

What are the blessings in your life that you are thankful for?

 Weather Changes

Fall is one of my favorite seasons
and I am enjoying these cool mornings. I hope you are too.
I have noticed some students coming to school without a jacket, sweater,
or sweatshirt and they end up shivering through the recess.
Just a little reminder that we will be going outside for morning recess
even if it is really “cold” unless, of course, it is raining or snowing.
Please have your child wear a warm coat, sweater,
or uniform sweatshirt for the cool, cool mornings.
Sweaters or uniform sweatshirts are great to wear in the classroom.
Scholastic Book Orders are due next Friday, November 16th.
